Rules are for small children; older ones need something they can argue with. Every line here is a stance rather than an instruction — “Turn mistakes into lessons”, “Be a light” — and it ends on “Come home for dinner”, which is the only rule in the list and is doing a lot of work. Midnight Rules sets it cream on near-black, so it reads as something chosen rather than imposed.
